Šarūnė Vaitkutė jewelery exhibition Heart December 20, 2017 – January 12, 2018
Gallery Meno niša from December 20. invites you to the last exhibition of this year. The gallery will present an exhibition of author’s jewelry “Heart” by one of the most active Lithuanian metal artists, Šarūnė Vaitkutė.
The artist has been actively creating and participating in exhibitions not only in Lithuania for more than 10 years. Her biography includes wins in international competitions, numerous participations in group exhibitions in the USA, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Russia, and Italy.
Š. Vaitkutė has a unique style, an original artistic language and stylistics that the viewer recognizes immediately. The latest exhibition of the artist will present jewelry that combines enamel, gold, and silver – all for the joy of the author’s and audience’s hearts. Art critic Jurgita Ludavičienė claims that Š.Vaitkutė has always been and is a poet – just not because she was ever noticed creating verses. The artist’s works are imbued with a unique poetry that can be understood without words. ”
Š. Vaitkutė sees hearts everywhere. These are the signs that show the way in the journey after finding the heart-shaped stone. These are also sacred votives to hang on the wall and express gratitude. It is both a boulder separated from a mountain massif and a leaf of an exotic plant of the same shape. They all talk about the same thing – waiting, loving, knowing that everything will be okay. Therefore, heart shapes, born on distant and sometimes dangerous journeys, seen in dreams, seen with an inner gaze, are now reproduced in jewelry designed to be worn close to the heart,” says J. Ludavičienė about the artist’s new works. Š. Vaitkutė is preparing an exclusive exhibition in the spaces of the gallery “Meno niša”, the artist will arrange pendants, rings, brooches and votives on tree branches.
The exhibition will be open from December 20. until January 12.
