European Archeology Days

European Archeology Days begins! So today it remains to present what will take place in all four historical capitals of Lithuania and their neighborhood!

🔸 June 14 The Old Arsenal of the National Museum of Lithuania and the Kaunas City Museum invite you to new exhibitions, and the Palace of the LDK Rulers will be waiting for everyone on a tour. Old crafts will be introduced by the participants of the Vilnius fine crafts program: crafts and arts center “Nauja Sirena”, Black Ceramics Center and Vilnius Pottery Workshop (organized by the Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency). The Trakai History Museum invites you to visit exclusive events in the Castles of the Island and Peninsula (organized by the Directorate of the Trakai Historical National Park). Those who want to immerse themselves even more in nature and contribute to the preservation of our heritage are invited to a taluk at Bražuolė mound (organized by the Vilnius territorial department of the Department of Cultural Heritage).

🔸 June 15 In the Old Arsenal of the National Museum of Lithuania, the whole day will be devoted to the history of food and agriculture and various tastes. Those who want to get a taste of other areas of archeology are invited to visit the exhibition of archaeological rings by the bastion of the Vilnius defensive wall, and the Palace of the LDK Rulers will be waiting for everyone on the tour. Old crafts will be introduced by the participants of the Vilnius fine crafts program: Jūratė Weaving Manufactory, Gerard Rūkas String Instruments and Strings Gallery Workshop, Goldsmiths’ Guild, Jewelry School “Vilnensis” and Craft Guild (organized by the Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency). Kaunas City Museum, Kaunas Vincas Kudirkas Public Library, Dendera – Ancient Egypt Study, Antanas and Jonas Juškis Museum of Ethnic Culture (organized by the Kaunas District Municipality Administration) and the Kernavė Archaeological Area Museum invite you to the most interesting educations, excursions and lectures.
