ART IN ENAMEL KITCHEN 1000˚C | 2013 02 07 – 02 15
2013 February 7 on Thursday, the creative workshop “Art in an enamel kitchen 1000 ˚C” will be held in the MENO NISHA gallery. Many people in Lithuania probably know that enamel is suitable not only for coating pots.
Enamel is an old and complex field of jewelry art that requires not only artistic skill, but also very good craft knowledge, patience and knowledge. Therefore, there are not many authors who have mastered this field. And they usually don’t want curious outsiders poking around their workshop. However, creating enamel is a very exciting and inspiring process. Therefore, the gallery “Meno Niša” decided to open the doors of the enamel kitchen. And he invited artists from different fields who have not worked with enamel until now to touch this technique: Marių Jonuţi, Arūnė Tornau, Jolanta Kyzikaitė, Rūta Rimšelienė, Jurgitas Januskevičiūtė, Rūta Katiliūtė, Nomeda Marcėnaitė, Vitališ Čepkauskas, Saulius Vaitiekūnas, Ramunė Strazdaitė and others. But not only them. The enamel art kitchen at 1000˚C will be open to everyone throughout the week.
Hurry up to take advantage of all the opportunities offered by Meno niša: an opportunity to look at the learning process and its results of recognized authors and test yourself. This kitchen is artistic, open and incredibly engaging. It’s not for nothing that it’s so hot. In all meanings.
The workshop will be led by artist and jeweler Marytė Dominaitė Gurevičienė.
February 15, Friday, 4 p.m. an exhibition of enamel artworks created by artists who created in the workshop and visitors to the gallery will be presented.
