International Enamel Art Symposium VILNIUS’2012
Enamel art exhibition 800˚C
The Gallery of Goldsmith Guild Meno Niša was established in 2002 under the Ethnographic and Fine Crafts and Fairs Programme launched by the Vilnius City Municipality.
To commemorate its 10th anniversary, on 11-14 September, Gallery Meno Niša is holding International Enamel Art Symposium VILNIUS’2012 to gather enamel artists and important, time-tested gallery’s partners from 7 countries of the world: Latvia, Russia, Spain, Georgia, Venezuela, Switzerland and Lithuania.
The programme of the symposium encompasses creative workshops of enamel art, lectures and exhibition of enamel art works.
On Monday, 10 September, 6 p.m., enamel art exhibition 800 ˚C will be opened to display the exposition of works created by 30 authors before the symposium. The next week the exposition will be supplemented with new works produced during the creative workshops. The exhibition is open till 29 September.
On 11 – 14 September, visitors will have an opportunity to watch the creative process and enjoy a unique opportunity to communicate with artists from the key centres of enamel art – Spain and Georgia. The visitors will be able to see the birth of enamel art works in the hands of professional artists.
Master enamellers will give lessons to the students from the Telšiai Faculty of Art of Vilnius Academy of Arts and Latvian Academy of Arts. In addition, works of trainees of Prof. Dr. Nuria Lopez Ribalta will be displayed at the exhibition.
